Lisa Arnold, Assistant Instructor

Lisa has been diving for more than 22 years. She found her passion of scuba from her husband, Rob, and they have been diving together ever since. Her favorite destination is Bonaire, with its vast opportunities to dive all day long with her husband and kids.  They never tire of learning more about the ocean and how we can all help to keep it safe and healthy for years to come.

They also share the love of the ocean with their children, Amanda & Rebekah, who are both Open Water certified. Family is the most important thing to Lisa.  She feels overwhelmingly blessed and loved.

Unfortunately, she has been fighting for her life the past 3 1/2 years, since being diagnosed with a deadly Bone Marrow Cancer.  Lisa went to Seattle, WA. last year to have a life-saving Bone Marrow Transplant at the Seattle Cancer Care Alliance, the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center and the University of Washington.  It has been quite an ordeal to say the least.  After deadly doses ofcChemotherapy were given to kill her bone marrow, she received stem cells from her sister, Denise, who was a perfect match.

A problem called Chronic Graft Versus Host Disease has been trying its best to take over the cell engraftment, but with her undying faith in God, her Doctors' knowledge, many prescription medications and the latest medical technology available, her family is quite optimistic.

The Arnold Family has so many wonderful people to thank.  Those who helped spiritually, financially & physically to make sure they were taken care of before, during and after the transplant.  The Arnold's continue to need your support, thoughts & prayers.

The Lisa Cares Foundation was started in January 2006 before she went to Seattle.  The Arnold's wish to keep the Foundation going so they can help others with deadly blood diseases.  You may contribute to the Foundation by clicking on the Bubble Blower's Club link on the home page.  We thank you in advance for your generosity and kindness.
