I remember when my youngest brother got his open water certification and how excited he was about it. That excitement was contagious, because it wasn’t long before my wife and I were enrolled in a scuba class as well. That was way back in 1987 and since then we have logged many a dive together. Along the way we have gotten my two other brothers certified. When my older brother’s son turned sixteen he was asked what he wanted for his birthday.

He told his dad that while he was growing up he always heard his uncles recounting the many stories of their adventures underwater together, so he requested scuba lessons for his birthday. As you can see, this really is a family affair. When not in the water, you can find me on my mountain bike riding the trails somewhere.
